5/5 stars

classic devotions for your listening pleasure

:
To pay only $10 for the complete audio devotions for both Spurgeon's Morning and Evening and Chambers' My Utmost for His Highest is well worth the price. They are preset for the current day (and if using Spurgeon the time of day). This makes it very easy to open the app and just push play and begin listening.

The audio quality of both is superb. I love having the British accent for Morning and Evening (a la Spurgeon!). The app does not take up much memory at only .6 mb.

Some have complained that the words are not included. Keep in mind that this app is from christianaudio which is known for their audio books. Therefore to expect print in this app is a bit beyond the necessary expectations of an audio book company.

If I could change or add one thing about the app, I would like to see the ability to set the devotionals on an alarm. How great would it be to wake up to Spurgeon's Morning or Chambers' My Utmost for His Highest?

A great way to start your day

:
This application offers daily readings from two of my favorite devotionals: My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers, and Morning & Evening by Charles Spurgeon.
I am especially fond of the narration done by Michael Card on My Utmost for His Highest and have found it to be a great way to start my day.
The only reason I am unable to give the iDevotional a 5 star rating is that the price is a bit high for what it offers.
Overall Christian Audio has done a great job with it and I look forward to enjoying it and sharing some of the daily devos with my friends via the email/share function.

4/5 stars

Your day and night devotional all-in-one

:
This devotional is very nicely done and features two classic works at an great price—a perfect way to start and end your day. The app is easy to use and opens automatically to the current date and you choose which reading you want to hear. The audio quality is excellent and both narrators do a good job, but I especially enjoy the audio for Spurgeon's book done by James Adams because his voice captures the "feel" of Spurgeon's writings. I do like the app's ability to bookmark your favorite entries as well as email them to a friend. I would gladly give up the email feature to have an app that doesn't rely on an internet connection, so I could listen to the devotions on my drive to and from work on my iPod Touch. The other reason the app doesn't get five stars from me is that I would like a text option to follow along.
